Prevent the Spread of Norovirus and Stay Healthy!



This year, help safeguard yourself and those around you against Norovirus with some prevention tips to help reduce infection.

According to the Public Health Agency of Canada there are between 300 and 400 outbreaks of norovirus that are reported each year.

Did you know?
  • Norovirus is very contagious, people exposed to the virus can develop symptoms of the illness within 24 to 48 hours, however symptoms can occur as early as 12 hours after exposure.
  • Some of the symptoms of norovirus illness include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and stomach cramps.
  • In general, children experience more vomiting than adults.
